  1. Be mindful of traffic! We will have sections coned off in high traffic areas, but not all areas. We will also have a lead car warning cars of the race, a lead bike closer to the first runners and a caboose car.  Please be mindful of traffic though.  Do not make passing moves around blind bends.  Racing information to be delivered in more detail race-week, as well as during the pre-race briefing on race morning.
  2. No Cutssies. All runners must run the entire course, no exceptions. Cutting switchbacks, skipping sections (accidental or intentional), getting rides, or anything that would cause you to gain and unfair advantage will be considered grounds for disqualification. Runners who correct their mistake within the cutoffs will not be penalized. Penalty for uncorrected course deviations: possible DQ.
  3. No littering. Obviously.
  4. No PEDs. Any runner caught using performance enhancing drugs will be disqualified. Any runner who has tested positive for PEDs will be denied entry. Penalty for using PEDs: DQ and lifetime ban.
  5. Obey race staff orders. If the RD, any volunteer, or medical or traffic worker give you an order, failing to comply is grounds for disqualification. Aid station captains have the authority to act on the behalf of the RD if he/she/they is/are not available. Penalty for not obeying a race staff order: possible DQ.
  6. No receiving aid outside of aid stations. Racers cannot receive aid outside the main aid station in Gold Hill.  Racers can not stash bottles, fuel, or gear along the course to be picked up. Racers may assist other racers without any penalty. Aid includes but is not limited to the following list: food, water, drinks, gear, or physical assistance of any kind. Penalty for receiving aid outside an aid station (with the exception of another racer): DQ.
  7. No dogs. We love dogs, but no dogs are allowed at the start/finish, Gold Hill Aid Station, or on course. Runners are not allowed to run with dogs, no dogs off leash (EVER), and do not leave your dog unattended.  There will be too many people and too much noise at the start/finish and in Gold Hill to accommodate dogs.
  8. Spectate respectfully.  Please be respectful of Gold Hill homes and citizens if you go up to Gold Hill to spectate.
  9. No impeding another runner. Exhibit high-levels of upstanding sportsmanship. Common courtesy, kindness, and  positivity are what we're after. Disrespect and/or behavior resulting in others feeling unsafe constitutes grounds for disqualification.
  10. Be mindful of the homes along the route.  Have fun, but be respectful.
  11. Respect private properties. Runners and crews should not trespass or impede the owners of any private property along the route.
  12. Don't run as a bandit.   Don't run it bandit style. We will find out and you will be pulled. We will try to keep the race entry fee low so anyone who wants to run, can.
  13. The Race Director has final say. During the race, the RD has final say on any issues that may arise, including issues not specifically listed as an official rule. The Race Director has the authority to make exceptions to any aspect of this race as deemed necessary or beneficial to the overall health of the event.
